In 1979, a group of local businessmen decided they wanted to improve the financial community. Their efforts resulted in First Citizens Bank, which was founded with one purpose: to provide a healthy banking environment for local businesses and individuals. The doors first opened on July 8, 1980, operating under a local management philosophy. Today, this hometown banking philosophy could not be stronger, even though it is blended with a current management philosophy that incorporates the advantages of technological improvements. Our growth throughout the years has been a direct result of aggressive investment in the local community through small business, agriculture, mortgage, and personal loans. We will continue to combine quality customer service with the latest in technological advancements to ensure that we remain a leader in community development.
