First Star has been developing, publishing and licensing entertainment software since 1982. In the past 25 years we have created and marketed numerous best selling and award winning computer games including BOULDER DASH and the SPY vs. SPY series of programs. Millions of units of the Boulder Dash and Spy vs. Spy series have been sold throughout the world. I-play and First Star are co-publishing Boulder Dash -M.E. 2 for cell phones worldwide with over 700,000 units in the Boulder Dash -M.E. series having been sold for mobile devices. The Boulder Dash franchise continues to thrive as BOULDER DASH -ROCKS! for the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP lead the way in a three-year plan that will see the brand expanded across numerous platforms. Within 18 months of First Star's inception, Warner Software, Inc., a Warner Communications company, acquired a fifty percent ownership in First Star. (Warner Software no longer retains an equity position.) In the company's formative years management focused heavily on the development and publishing of its own IP as well as licensing rights to properties such as SUPERMAN , SPY vs. SPY and ROMPER ROOM while licensing publication rights for First Star's titles to third parties, particularly in Europe and Japan.
