This small company had the special challenge of trying to recruit one of the most talented candidates within their industry, but felt that San Jose was less attractive to recent graduates. Gerry advised the principles that if unbiased information were provided, their chances of signing the candidate would be improved. It worked, and that small start-up later became Intel.Gerry believed that the relocation process begins way before homes are sold, loan applications are completed, and household goods are moved. By providing objective and unbiased information to candidates considering relocation, it has been proven that acceptance rates will go up and therefore, the costs to recruit are dramatically reduced
