Fitts & Goodwin Safety Program is directed by “Safety Bob” — Award winning safety professional “Safety Bob” Synnett has directed the Fitts & Goodwin safety program for over 12 years. Safety Bob has over 30 years’ experience, and his safety video/DVD program “Safety Bob’s Construction Safety Orientation” has been used to train thousands of construction workers on project sites all over the USA.

This philosophy has allowed Fitts and Goodwin to perform repeat business for many well-known clients for over 25 years.

Fitts and Goodwin, Inc. was founded in January of 1984 by Tom Fitts and John Goodwin. The principals, having worked together more than thirty years, share a strong commitment to providing a quality construction product, on time delivery, and achievement of Owner satisfaction. Next generation ownership is already in place with Thomas Fitts, Jr. and Crist Goodwin Floyd filling key roles in the firm.

Each of our superintendents has 20 or more years of experience in the construction industry. Once we select the superintendent for the project, they provide the on-site management from the day the project starts, until the day the building is turned over to the owner.

Fitts and Goodwin has extensive experience in the Design/Build method of project delivery in addition to the more traditional Plan/Spec approach. When working on a Design/Build basis, third party design services are used to complete the Owner-Architect-Contractor team. This use of independent design professionals maintains the system of checks and balances required to assure a successful project.
