Flair Data has its roots in parent company Porter Burgess Company. The company was founded by Dallas native Porter Burgess who sold Motorola car radios, a revolutionary technology at the time. Porter Burgess Company was transferred to second and third generation owners, maintaining the company’s family tradition. As technology evolved, so did the company. In 1982, Flair Data Systems was established as a communications equipment reseller, setting up connectivity for companies between centralized hosts and remote offices. At the time, connectivity was provided using modems and channel banks.
