Four years later, FLEX College Resource Centers (formerly "Elite Academy") has expanded to four locations with imminent plans for a fifth. We have also been selected as the on-site SAT* service provider for The King's Academy, which recently ranked #5 in SAT* scores for Silicon Valley private schools according to a recent Business Journal report. FLEX offers a comprehensive range of programs for students (grades 6-12), including test prep, enrichment courses, homework tutorials and essay editing. We have recently expanded our services to include a comprehensive College Admissions Counseling Program, developed by a college counselor at The King's Academy and an admissions fellow at Davidson College. Despite this rapid growth, FLEX College Resource Centers continues to maintain the principles on which it was founded. We believe in interactive and creative learning, and invest in our instructors. The educators and tutors who make up our staff teach at area high schools (Harker, Monta Vista, Saratoga, Gunn) and elite universities (Stanford, Johns Hopkins, Yale). They are not only academic achievers but individuals with a heart for teaching. A glance inside our classrooms might reveal students performing homemade experiments on water tension with a Monta Vista AP* Chemistry teacher, building three-dimensional geometric structures with a Stanford Math instructor, or composing chapter autobiographies with a former CTY (The Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth) instructor. ...
