Most aluminum has a high recycled content. Our primary supplier of extruded aluminum uses an aluminum billet consisting of a recycled content of 45% (32% - Pre-Consumer & 13% - Post Consumer) and our supplier of cast aluminum vents uses aluminum alloys that are produced from 100% recycled materials.

When you’re researching flood vents, you’ll see that some manufacturers (many, in fact) advertise their flood vents as “FEMA approved” or “FEMA certified.” The truth is that no company can really make those claims.

YES, it is a requirement that you have an engineered certificate from the manufacturer of the vent in order to be able to use the engineered calculations to determine how many vents you will require.

Each flood vent that Flood Solutions manufactures and sells has an engineered opening as defined by FEMA Technical Bulletin 1-08. Since you must have an Engineered Certificate from the state in which your building is located in order to use a flood vent, please see links to individual state certifications below.
