In order to build a good saddle you must have a good tree. That is why I use Ritter saddle trees. These trees are used by the best saddle makers in the country. Ritter trees are laced with rawhide, which means that the seams will hold up to many years of hard use. The stitches in a Ritter tree are evenly spaced and placed such that they lay flat. This means that the finished saddle will not have any lumps caused by uneven lacing. In addition, their tress are hand nailed in all the critical points rather than stapled. I use only domestic tanned leather from one of the largest suppliers in the country. By using domestic leather I have a consistency all the way through the saddle. This gives the saddle the same color on the outside and strength on the inside. Thick bark tanned fleece lining in the skirts gives more comfort to the horse, and a longer life to the saddle as a whole.
