In more recent times, the people of Fair Oaks have built a recreation and conference center, named after Gene and Lidia Nelson, a stunning chapel, named in honor of Henry and Debbie Wells, and has ambitious plans for a new, state-of-the-art children's and youth building. The story of a church, of course, is more than the recounting of land purchases and buildings and pastors. It's really a story about faith-- the faith of many, many people across the years who answered God's call to be salt and light in this community. Fair Oaks Presbyterian now finds itself in exciting times of transition as it seeks a new Co-Pastor, and as it creatively works to discover new ways to reach the world-- a world far different than the one its founders would have recognized. But, by faith and with God's leading, the church at Fair Oaks will give thanks for the past and look forward to a bright future of continued ministry and witness.
