This chopped glass and emulsion system is not new, it has been around since the 1960's and it has a long track record of superior re-roof performance. Our fiberglass roof system uses high grade modified (emulsion) asphalt that is clay based. Our emulsion asphalt is more pliable, impervious to rot, and longer lasting than conventional roofing asphalt. The addition of Bentonite Clay © makes our asphalt (and your roof) much more fire retardant The Kold King System uses the same process used by manufacturers to build fiberglass boats, tubs, motor homes, etc.
