When you hire the Fords to create your portrait, you are hiring a unique combination of sensitive artist, skilled craftsman and experienced businessman. The blending of their art, craft and business knowledge will insure your complete satisfaction in the work they will create for you.John and Joanie Ford have been photographing professionally since 1983, when they opened their first studio in Brooklyn Center. In 1990 they opened their present studio and portrait park, which borders Shingle Creek and adjoins Village Creek Park, in Brooklyn Park. Paul Scully joined the Ford team in 2002.Joanie has competed in National and State competitions since 1988 as a photographer, artist and retoucher. Through the years she has studied with many artists. In 1995 she received her Accredited Artist degree from Minnesota. Subsequently she received her Accredited Photography degree in 1997 and her Accredited Retouching degree in 1999. In July of 2003, she was the first and only person to receive all three National degrees at one time. These include Master Artist, Master Photographer and her Photographic Craftsman degree. Joanie loves to paint and play piano in her free time. She is Chairman of The Board for the American Photographic Artist Guild and serves on the Minnesota Professional Photographers as a board member.
