Fore Hope is a nationally recognized, non-profit organization that uses golf as an instrument to help in the rehabilitation of persons with disabilities or an inactive lifestyle. The Fore Hope team consists of certified recreational therapists and golf professionals. Individual and corporate giving, grants and special events support this organization. Fore Hope's vision is greatness through golf rehabilitation for persons with disabilities. Mindy Derr founded Fore Hope in 1989 and today serves as Executive Director. Her father Guy was the catalyst for the inception of the program. Guy was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease and as an option for hope and recovery, the Fore Hope program was born. Fore Hope has experienced expansive growth from the beginning. Today, we serve over four hundred participants nationwide and foresee unrestrained demand for our program. Chris Perry, PGA Tour Professional, has been involved with Fore Hope since 1999 serving as an advisor as well as a liaison with other tour professionals on our behalf. The United States Golf Association has been an ally and supporter in part throughout our Fore Hope history. The Memorial Tournament The Memorial Tournament has continually invested in Fore Hope's Mission and Vision over the years.
