Forest View Manor began as a ministry vision of Ann Nixon Christie in the early 1980’s. She worked with several agencies developing the first senior citizen councils in the state, and also administrated facilities for other companies. Her experiences led her to enlist the aid of her son, Mark Nixon, and create a new type of assisted care facility with the feel of home. The purpose from the outset was to provide a home and necessary care services to enhance the quality of life for our senior citizens. On October 1, 1988, the doors were opened. Since conception, our home has provided care and support to over 250 families from all parts of the country. We are especially blessed by the compassionate nature and the commitment to superior care demonstrated daily by our staff. Caregivers are chosen based on their ability to build relationships with our residents, providing not only for their physical needs but their emotional and spiritual needs as well. Forest View Manor provides ongoing training and education opportunities to continually improve the quality of services and environment. Most of our staff members have been providing care here for more than ten years. Our staff is definitely one of our greatest assets.
