Dogs at large in unincorporated Ferry County are impounded at the discretion of the Ferry County Sheriff; dogs at large in Republic city limits are impounded at the discretion of the Republic Police Department. Stray cats at large anywhere in Ferry County are impounded by the shelter at the request of initiating party. Impounds/strays are usually released for adoption after 3-7 days if their owners have not claimed them. See your dog or cat? Call 775-2308 or email us at the address below your pet's photo. Proof of ownership is usually required to claim an impounded pet; bring photos and vet records, any other proof available.
