Description

- Biomimicry is another way we look to nature for solutions in order to protect our environment by mimicking natural systems. The earth is the most evolved holistic system and has perfected itself over the past 3.8 billion years and has much to teach about how we can enrich our projects without negatively impacting the environment. At each step of our processes, we provide metric performance of each material against the overall environmental impact to our natural systems.

The 31,000 square foot P-882 dining facility was designed to support approximately 2,420 permanent party and student Marines per meal period. This two-story dining facility is equipped with a full-service kitchen on the lower level, smaller prep kitchens on the upper level, a loading dock area, and freezer and cooler storage areas.

We founded our design firm to be that single forum that would bring together all of the capabilities of the master builder in a collaborative, creative and inclusive process. We convene the expertise needed, when it is needed, at our table. Most recently we’ve added incredible talent in Planning, Landscape Architecture and Urban Design to our team. Additionally, we continue to partner with experts, from economists to biologists. Ours is an environment where trust creates the time and space for innovation.

Do you know what impact your business and operations have on the environment? Are you interested in joining an organization recognized as a leader of environmental stewardship? As design professionals, we ask these questions on every project we touch. We have a professional responsibility to understand how our work effects the environment and how we can implement ways to improve our practice.
