As some of you may know, foryourlegs.com is a division of American Medical Services in Pontiac, Michigan. American Medical was founded as American Orthopedic by my grandfather nearly 50 years ago. After he lost his leg to infection as a young child, he devoted his life to learning and perfecting the art of prosthetics and orthotics. As the business grew, we added more and more services allowing us to serve more customer needs. In 1986, we adapted the name of American Medical to better represent our expanded offerings. As we continue in my grandfather's legacy, we are constantly seeking ways of improving the quality of life for our customers.
