JACK DAVIS is best known as co-author of the award-winning, best-selling (over a million copies in 12 languages), guides to Photoshop, The Photoshop Wow! Book, and How to Wow: Photoshop for Photography. As an award-winning designer, photographer and contributing editor to many other books and magazines on digital tools and the creative process, for over 20 years, Jack has been an internationally recognized spokesperson on digital imagery, giving keynote address’ at conferences and universities worldwide and leading countless hands-on workshops.

LOU JONES specializes in location photography for corporate and editorial clients like Federal Express, Nike, National Geographic, and Aetna. He has completed assignments in 46 countries, photographing royalty and the third world, the sacred and profane, many jazz legends like Miles Davis, 12 Olympic Games, and inmates on death row. His work is in collections at Smithsonian Institution, Decordova Museum, Gallery Saintonge, and the Center for Fine Art Photography. With a lifelong passion for photojournalism and social documentary, Jones has worked with institutions like Amnesty International.

He has been the Director of Photography and Producer of books on three of the last four Presidential Inaugurals. His work has been exhibited in one-man shows in New York, Washington, DC and France and is in collections around the world. He has twice been on the list as one of the “One Hundred most Important People in Photography” as compiled by American Photographer Magazine.

John will use his award-winning images to discuss composition, paying attention to exposure, understanding histograms and placing the values according to the light conditions. He will show you how to “work an image” and how to develop an idea into reality. You’ll put your knowledge into practice at a stimulating FOTOShoot at the Wakodahatchee Wildlife Preserve. Join John on Saturday for a session on developing raw images for final portfolio or publication, followed by a critique. on Saturday.
