Over the past year, approximately 20 women school administrators and Franczek Radelet attorneys began laying the groundwork for a new organization founded to promote educational leadership opportunities for women administrators. The WNSA is dedicated to mentoring, professional development, and networking activities that support equity in educational leadership. The WNSA launched its first official event on June 13 where the women first introduced the organization's mission.

, the Supreme Court held that regulations under the Affordable Care Act that require employer group health plans to provide contraceptive coverage violate the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA). The case came to the Court through a challenge to the requirement that employer group health plans provide certain preventive services, including contraception. RFRA generally provides that the government may not substantially burden a person’s right to exercise his or her religion. In the opinion, the Court reasoned that a “person” under RFRA includes closely held, for-profit corporations.

CASL was founded in Chicago in 1978 and is now the largest, most comprehensive social service agency in the Midwest dedicated to serving the needs of Chinese Americans. In 2011, Franczek Radelet announced the implementation of this exciting and creative diversity pipeline initiative that we believe to be unprecedented in terms of its focus and structure. The Firm’s Legal Education for the Advancement of Diversity and Scholarship (LEADS) fellowship program is designed to increase the placement of diverse lawyers at our law firm and in private practice generally.
