Farmers Eric, Karren and John Pohlschneider Our farm was originally purchased from the EJ Harding family by Alwin Pohlschneider. Grandfather Alwin was of German descent and came to America at age 18. The farm is now operated by John and Karren Pohlschneider, along with son Eric, who joined his parents in the work in 1995. John takes care of the equipment and the field work for the ryegrass farm. Eric is the head grower for the nursery and is also in charge of the field staff. Karren is in charge of the retail store, its staff, and the bakery.
