She has been quoted in local and national magazines, as well as newspapers, as an expert in plastic surgery.Dr. Friedlander grew up in Tennessee, but has resided in the Tri-State area for over three decades. She attended medical school at the State University of New York and completed a full general surgery training program in four years, rather than the usual, five. She continued with her plastic surgery training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx before entering private practice in 1987. She is Board Certified in both general surgery and plastic surgery, although she limits her practice exclusively to plastic surgery. She has privileges at several local hospitals, including Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ, Saint Barnabas Hospital in Livingston, NJ, and the Ambulatory Care Center in Livingston, NJ.
