Mark O’Hara-Fisher is the dean of faculty as well as math teacher for our seventh and eighth grades. He has been teaching at Friends for eleven years, and likes to take math class off the written page. During his tenure we have seen domes made of triangles big enough for the class to sit in, pyramids of construction paper rising to the ceiling, and pies for the whole school to celebrate Pi day (3.14, March 14!) Mark’s daughter is a Friends School graduate and is currently majoring in special education at Michigan State.

Eileen Orr, graduated from Wayne State University with a Masters of Music. She is a Pianist, Composer, Arranger, and Bi-Lingual Education teacher. Eileen makes her home in Southwest Detroit. Eileen is widely recognized for her work as pianist and arranger/composer with the Grammy nominated group Straight Ahead. She also has extensive experience in the world of Latin music, having lived for a few years in Santo Domingo, The Domincan Republic, Cuba and Mexico City.
