Friends of Bob is a not-for-profit organization of volunteers bringing alternatives in live music to the Greater Lafayette area. Our purpose is to present high-quality rock, pop, rhythm and blues, rockabilly, alternative, soul, country, reggae, world and any other category-defying music that may ordinarily pass Lafayette by. Friends of Bob formed in late 1994. We've discovered that we can affordably book really top-class bands that are traveling between dates in bigger cities. Early shows!! We've broken the standard late-night format, beginning shows early in the evening. Though Friends of Bob shows are open to the public, we encourage you to become a member. Membership dues provide our working capital, allowing us to hire more expensive bands without putting the financial status of the organization in jeopardy. Friends of Bob is a registered not-for-profit corporation. All profits are put back into the organization's working capital. Please come out and support our shows and encourage your friends to do so.
