Lindbergh's historic first solo transatlantic flight (May 20-21, 1927) from New York to Paris. Wile following in Lindbergh's footsteps, you helped create a positive aviation event reported worldwide. The single engine Cessna-210 aircraft performed flawlessly by way of Dallas, San Diego, St. Louis, Long Island, Ney York and to Le Bourget, Paris, France reinforcing the dependability of our General Aviation Aircraft. Friendship Flight '97's goal was to generate public interest, especially with young persons, on the subject of aviation / aerospace, past, present and future. Our mission was a success. Your team participation made it possible. Each of you added to the overall impact of this event. Individuals, organization and corporations stood together in a united front as a legion of American volunteers sharing their knowledge and expertise.
