FSC International is an association of voting members. Members have the highest authority in formal decisions taken by FSC. To ensure FSC's independence and adherence to its objectives, it is essential that members support FSC's principles and aims. So though the FSC Statutes lay down strict conditions for all applicants, these rules are not intended to be a barrier to genuine supporters. FSC-U.S. members are the members of the FSC-International who reside in the United States. Like membership in FSC-International, membership in the FSC-U.S. allows one to vote for members of our Board of Directors and to vote on major policy matters that face the Forest Stewardship Council in the United States.
