In case of an emergency call 480-812-0731. Consulting Service Our consulting services are fee based and are provided by a certified Arborist or a tree Specialist. Consultations are scheduled Monday – Friday, except on holidays. We provide this service to residential, commercial, and governmental agencies. Our consulting service can perform a complete property evaluation, diagnostic service, and a tree location map of your property. Mapping Service: We realize that your trees are a valuable asset to you as well as your property, therefore, we offer a mapping service as part of our consulting service. We map the location of each tree on your property. Then we write up our findings and recommendation for each tree individually. The mapping service is fee based but is well worth the cost, especially for large commercial properties and residential properties with lots trees. Free estimates Free estimates are provided to residential, commercial, and governmental agencies. The difference between a free estimate and our consulting service is the free estimate is an unscheduled bid for tree care. The Specialists generally perform the estimates. Tree Removal Removing large trees can be quite a task. We remove large and small tree all year around. Some trees can be notched and dropped, while others have to be roped down to the ground. Tree Pruning (all hardwoods) We prune trees per the International Society of Arboriculture. This consists of hazard reduction or maintenance pruning and using the following pruning techniques: Crown cleaning: Crown cleaning consists of the selective removal of one or more of the following items: dead, dying, diseased, weak branches and waterspouts from a tree’s crown. Crown thinning: Crown thinning consists of selective removal of branches to increase light penetration, air movement, and reduce weight. a. Crown raising: Crown raising consists of the removal of the lower branches of a tree in order to provide clearance. b. Crown reduction (shaping): Crown reduction reduces the height and/or spread of a tree. Consideration should be given to the ability of a species to sustain this type of pruning. c. Vista Pruning: Vista pruning is selective thinning of framework limbs or specific area of the crown to allow a specific view of an object from a predetermined point. d. Crown restoration: Crown restoration pruning should improve the structure, form and appearance of trees that have been severely headed, vandalized, or storm damaged. Palm Tree Trimming There are different varieties of palm trees in the valley, such as, Mexican Fan palm, Mexican Blue Fan palm, Phoenix Date palm, California Fan palm, Canary Island Date palm, Mediterranean Fan palm, Pigmy Date and possible a few others. We trim and remove all of these palms at various prices. Due to our harsh summer months and the soil conditions in the valley, certain trees are frequently afflicted with a lethal fungus called phytophthora. Some types of phytophthora can cause collar and root rot. This may cause the tree to become a hazard, even though the canopy looks healthy. Fertilization We inject a liquid fertilizer, which is readily available for the roots absorption, into the trees root zone. Deep root fertilization is essential to trees because not only does it inject nutrients directly to the root zone of the tree but it also aerates the soil. A more aggressive treatment is the use of a systemic fertilizer. Olive Tree SprayingOlive Trees can produce an average 65 to 75 thousand olives per year. How about a large olive tree? The larger Olive trees produce over 100 thousand olives per year. Imagine 65 to 100 thousand black olives all over your lawn, rocks, driveway, sidewalk, in your pool, and all over your pool deck. This leads to messy stains inside and outside of your home. To combat this problem you can have your olive trees sprayed with a fruit reduction agent, which prevents olive trees from producing olives during the season. Olive Trees are usually sprayed during the months of January through April 15th annually. There are preparation procedures that should be followed prior to getting your trees sprayed. The first thing you should consider is getting your trees trimmed. Trimming your trees a couple of weeks prior to having them sprayed is not necessary but will lower the cost of spraying. The night before your spray date, you should move any patio furniture and potted plants away from the spray area. Pets, pet food and water supplies should be put indoors. There are preparation procedures that should be followed prior to getting your trees sprayed. The first thing you should consider is getting your trees trimmed. It would be in your best interest to become more informed when hiring someone to spray your olive trees with a fruit reduction agent. Only a certified Spray Technician working under a Qualifying Party or the Qualifying Party can legally spray your olive trees. The Qualifying Party must be certified by the state of Arizona and working under a business license from the Structural Pest Control Commission (SPCC). The Spray Technician and Qualifying Party must complete and submit to the SPCC a specific number of continuing education hours, annually, to maintain their certification. Therefore, every Spray Technician and Qualifying party is required to carry their certification card issued by the SPCC, when providing this and other services involving chemical applications. Be sure that you request a company provide you with a SPCC Business License number, and the Spray Technician and Qualifying Party certification numbers as well. You can check for these important credentials at http://www.sb.state.az.us. The quantity of trees, size, density of foliage, and the location of the trees determine the price. Olive Tree Spraying ( spray for fruit reduction) We spray olive trees once annually to reduce olive production which could be well upwards of the tens of thousands. Our olive spray techniques has been successfully executed year after year. This year we have improved from last year due to cutting edge technology in the chemical field and the advanced technology of the spraying equipment. Citrus, Pine, & Queen Palm Spraying These trees are sprayed with a fungicide to combat certain fungi. Once infected these trees should be sprayed 3 times a year with Aliette (See calendar). We also offer a systemic fungicide to treat trees that are more seriously afflicted. Emergency service U. S. Arbor Tree Service provides emergency tree service after hours and on weekends.
