When we started our company in 1999 on a kitchen table soon graduating to a basement! little did we know that one day we'd acquire a 70,000-sq. feet state-of-the-art fulfillment facility, running a staff of 21 wonderful men and women (expanding to 30 or more during the Holidays), servicing start-ups and Fortune 500 companies alike. But that's exactly what's happened, of course. And the reasons behind our success are fairly ordinary, even if the growth isn't*. For a start, even though Fulfillment Works is a young company we've always been passionate about building long-term relationships. Our clients are treated like family, with all the respect, honesty, and integrity such a relationship entails. And the pricing we offer them makes it clear we're not interested in earning a fast buck. Nor are we interested in doing a job well or even very well. We want to do it brilliantly or not at all. (We're proud of the fact that in our early years we actually turned down huge jobs that were beyond our capabilities.) Our commitment to long-term relationships also extends to our staff. Bonuses are given for outstanding performance in some cases monthly, not yearly. High-fives, hugs, and happy hours signal that the atmosphere here is one of upbeat professionalism. A staff member once exclaimed, " This can't be work; it's too much fun!" Considering the caliber of the clients we are blessed with, it most certainly is fun.
