Fuquay Mineral Spring Inn The Inn was built in 1927, the home of the Cozart family. The Cozart family owned and built one of the hotels - The Ben Wiley, celebrating the mineral spring. Dr. Wiley Cozart and his wife Pauline; both were very community minded people, and their home was used for many community functions during the 1920's through the 1970's. Dr. Cozart was the Mayor of the town for 10 years, and Pauline was the one of the community's finest gardeners.There are around 4,000 properties on the National Register of Historic Places in Wake County, North Carolina the Inn is one of those also, but there are less than 90 that have designated as Landmarks. This is very special honor for our Inn. The painting was displayed in the main lobby of the Andrew Johnson Hotel in Raleigh until the 1970's when the Hotel was replaced by the present News and Observer Building.
