G.D. Smith, Inc. was established in May of 1982 by Glen D. Smith, who was previously a service manager for Pearson, Inc. Due to economic conditions, Pearson, Inc. was terminating operations and Glen D. Smith, at the age of 52, undertook his aspiration of becoming a Mechanical Contractor by purchasing vehicles, tools, and inventory from his previous employer. Since then, G.D. Smith, Inc. has grown under controlled circumstances each year with Glen as President/Treasurer and Dorothy Smith as Secretary. In 1998 Matt D. Smith became President as Glen is presently semi-retired. The success of G.D. Smith, Inc. can be attributed to our commitment to QUALITY SERVICE AT COMPETITIVE PRICES. G. D. Smith, Inc. has no aspirations of becoming the biggest or cheapest in the industry.
