GWS Engineering, Inc. was founded in Baton Rouge, LA in January, 1994. The firm was organized to provide professional services in the fields of engineering and land surveying. Highly trained and motivated personnel combined with the utilization of the latest technologies enable GWS Engineering, Inc. to provide every project with complete and efficient professional services. The firm's personnel's wide range of experience encompass many various types of design and survey related projects.

Mr. G. Wayne Sledge, P.E., P.L.S. has provided expert witness services for over 35 years, involving: subdivision design, water intrusion, slope failure, drainage/flooding, grading, retention/detention basins, pavement failure, utility pipe breakage and boundary disputes.

Survey Coordinator at GWS Engineering, Inc., Mr. Overall has over ten (10) years experience as a Survey Coordinator, eight (8) years as a licensed Professional Land Surveyor with the firm. Mr. Overall has experience in a broad range of surveying practices and applications. His experience includes general coordination of subcontractors, computations, research of courthouse documents, residential surveying, resubdivisions and client relations. His duties also include the supervision of survey party and responsible for the layout of large developments. The type of projects he has been associated and responsible for include construction layout on residential developments as well as commercial developments, sewer force mains, gravity flow systems, drainage layouts and a variety of other survey related projects. In addition, Mr. Overall has had a wide range of computer application experience including COGO-PC, AutoCAD 2008 and T.D.S. (Transfer Data Systems) software. He also has an extensive knowledge of data collection techniques. He is currently utilizing the, TPS Ranger, Leica Total Stations and Leica GPS Equipment.

We provide professional engineering and land surveying services primarily to the private sector, specializing in site engineering for residential, retail commercial building site plans, industrial and municipal types of projects.
