In 1948, Richard and Bertha Gable opened "Gable Pharmacy." Their son Richard E. Gable took interest in the family business, graduated with a degree in pharmacology, and joined his parents at the pharmacy. As big business began working its way in, and forcing out the independents, Richard E. Gable thought that it would be best to find another venue in which to help people.In 1982, Richard E. and Carol Gable founded "Gable health Care." Following the family trend, their son Richard M. Gable and their nephew Philip Isaac decided to work in the family business. Originating in Cleveland Heights, and later relocating to Twinsburg, Gable Health Care provided health care equipment to many patients that were referred by hospitals and physical therapists to assist with the rigors of every day life. As the needs of these patients became greater it was then that the company branched out even further.Knowledge: With a separate Sales & Estimating Department, customers are always able to obtain information about product specifications, code requirements, and available options.
