Everyone thought I had lost my mind, when I decided to go back to school to become a Chiropractic doctor. I had been practicing pharmacy in Houston for about five years when I had a back injury. I had gone the traditional medical route and had seen my family practice doctor and an orthopedic surgeon. After weeks of care I was still unable to stand up straight and work. Some friends took me to a chiropractor. After just one treatment, I was able to stand up straight and return to work. The light bulb came on, and shortly thereafter, I was enrolled at Palmer College in Davenport Iowa. Making such a radial change in my profession, I believed that Palmer College the Fountainhead was the only place to go for my education. Palmer being the original chiropractic college was rich in philosophy and technique that I didn't think I would get elsewhere. I believe I have a solid background in medical philosophy from my pharmacy degree and I have great chiropractic philosophy from Palmer College. My name is Brandon Johnson and I am proud to be a Doctor of Chiropractic. In 1998, during my years of construction work, I suffered a debilitating back injury while lifting heavy commercial brake parts off of a flat bed truck. I couldn ’t stand up straight or walk without excruciating pain in my lower back and right leg. After several months of rest and medical care, I finally visited a chiropractor. After one week of care, I hardly had any pain in my back and no more leg pain.
