Game Ready™ was built upon a cutting-edge concept—that the principles behind spacesuit technology could be used to develop a superior injury treatment and accelerated recovery system. As a designer for NASA and an inductee into the U.S. Space Foundation’s Hall of Fame, our founder helped pioneer the technology involved in controlling pressure and temperature within a flexible garment. In 1998, we began working with athletes, athletic trainers, doctors, and engineers to expand breakthrough discoveries into the realm of sports medicine.Game Ready was the first to introduce a portable recovery system that simultaneously delivers active compression and adjustable cold therapy. The positive feedback to our prototypes was overwhelming. Sprains, strains, and bruises healed faster. Post-operative patients recovered more quickly. Many top athletes—including Steve Young, Jerry Rice, Troy Aikman, Bruce Smith, Warren Moon, and Jack Kemp—regarded the system so highly they became part-owners in our company.Many of our employees are serious athletes who’ve had first-hand experience with the frustrations associated with inferior cold and compression therapies.
