Description
The precursor to Game Traders Club began in the early 90's when expert, Todd Lippi, identified the value of selling used video games at substantial discounts to a very eager gaming public. This was done at several local flea-markets beginning with Saturday's Flea Market in Middletown, Pa and Silver Springs Flea Market in Mechanicsburg, Pa. Customers at these markets were very happy to have a place to trade or sell their unused games and at that time, there was no other local company offering this innovative buy/sell/trade deal. As time went by, brand new video games were added to the previously "used only" inventory to encourage further trading and increase value to gamers by offsetting the high cost of brand new games. Eventually, a "brick and mortar" store was opened to expand the hours of the business and add even more convenience for the gaming customer. In the Annville, Pa store new product lines were introduced such as music cds, movie videos and dvds, and a rental program was developed as a low cost way for the customer to experience as many games and movies as they wanted. Due to rapid growth, the Annville store had to be relocated to larger store fronts 2 times, and the growth continues to this day.
