Garfield Builders began in 1983 as a small carpentry and general contracting business. Owner Michael Garfield set up his office in a spare room of his house. In 1994, the first employee was hired and business began to prosper and grow. At that time, our services covered a wide range - from simple home repairs to remodeling and building additions onto homes. Only five years later we made some changes, did some restructuring, and became Garfield Builders LLC. Since 1999 we have grown to ten employees with full-time office staff to coordinate the daily business. Once more we restructured and are now Garfield Builders Inc. Though now fully incorporated, we still continue to cater to the small jobs which got us started and also specialize in larger or more difficult projects. We always remember that we are guests in our client's homes. We moved from East Canaan, CT to our current location in Falls Village, CT which includes a full cabinet shop, showroom, conference room, and office space for our administrative staff. Ongoing improvements in equipment and material purchases enabled us to expand our services and products not only to clients, but to other local sub-contractors and professionals extending the network into the community.
