Garfield Lake

In 1999, we were fortunate to find our cabin and 'parkland' through our dear friend Michelle. We heard about it through her and drove up to see what it looked like. It was better than the description though the cabin was just about to fall over from rot and neglect. After a few weeks of negotiating with the seller (Robb did the negotiating and Gary held his breath...) we came to terms and it was all ours! Since then we've remodeled every square inch of the cabin to include new wiring, plumbing, replaced lakeside exterior wall, new bathroom, well, septic, driveway, landscaping (natural, not suburban...), rock walls, etc. I'm exhausted just listing it all and a bit tired from the tasks! We've been fortunate to add another 5.5 acres to 16.5 acres we already had so remember to bring your hiking shoes and camera as there are trails galore, wildlife just waiting to show off and of course peaceful rest and comfort.
