Gay and Neel, Inc. was established in 1992 in Christiansburg, Virginia. The Firm was established to provide quality Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, and Landscape Architecture Services for a wide variety of Projects in both the Public and Private Sector. We are also a Small Business Enterprise certified by the State of Virginia under SWaM #6642. Our growth continues today with Gay and Neel, Inc. now employing approximately 20 people and serving the state from two offices - our original Christiansburg office and an office in Staunton.

The Survey Department at Gay and Neel, Inc. can see your project from initial legal research, through boundary survey, collection of topographic and utility data for site design, to construction staking and final as-built survey. In addition we provide a wide variety of services to property owners such as Subdivisions, Boundary Adjustments, and Flood Elevation Certificates.

Gay and Neel, Inc. has designed Erosion and Sediment Control Plans for sites as small as 5,000 square feet up to 200-acre developments and feel that we provide our Clients with comprehensive, economical plans for managing the sediment laden runoff from their site. Gay and Neel, Inc. provides stormwater management plans for all types of development, combining comprehensive site visits with the latest hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software. We provide comprehensive design for all types of stormwater quantity and quality management features such as: detention and retention ponds, closed conduit underground detention, low impact development designs including bioretention and pervious pavements, and many others, including proprietary manufactured units.
