At the core of GDC are a father and son, Ramon and Erick Sanchez, and their business partner, Gene Perry - individuals with strong business values and a commitment to providing high-quality, reliable service. With 75 years of combined general contracting and project management experience, GDC's principals run a tight ship on each of the projects they manage and draw from a talented, dependable workforce of subcontractors to ensure each project runs according to schedule and meets budget requirements, building codes and standards. Erick C. Sanchez, President With 11 years of industry experience under his belt, Erick C. Sanchez oversees the day-to-day operations of General Design & Construction, where he is responsible for managing current projects, overseeing the estimating and procurement processes, as well as identifying new and future business opportunities. In addition to his vast experience in the construction industry, Erick is active in the development of the Southern Nevada business community. He is affiliated with organizations such as the Nevada Minority Business Council and Latin Chamber of Commerce, Associated General Contractors, National Association of Minority Contractors and National Association of Homebuilders. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for The Shade Tree Shelter organization. Ramon Sanchez, Vice President Ramon Sanchez possesses more than 30 years of construction experience in the Las Vegas Valley. He provides direction and leadership for the company's development. As part owner, Ramon strives to create new opportunities and manages growth plans for GDC. Ramon is also president and co-founder of P&S Metals & Supply, Incorporated Since 1979, he has overseen the daily operations and sustained growth of the company. He served on the Board of Regents for Bishop Gorman High School and donates his time to The Shade Tree Shelter organization, Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD), Hispanics in Politics and Cat Heaven. He is fluent in both Spanish and English. Gene Perry, Secretary/Treasurer A 30-year veteran of the Southern Nevada construction industry, Gene Perry serves as secretary/treasurer. His responsibilities include overseeing company safety initiatives as well as monitoring the company's bonding and insurance programs and implementing them into day-to-day operations. Gene also serves as secretary/treasurer for P & S Metals, Incorporated, a metals supplier and fabricating company of steel buildings and warehouses, where he manages the day-to-day operations of the company, a position he has held since 1979. Gene is a member of the American Society of Testing Materials and lends his time to Opportunity Village, a not-for-profit organization that serves people with intellectual disabilities by providing them with vocational training, employment and social recreation services that make their lives more productive and interesting.
