Description

For over 30 years, General Devices has been the leader in providing products and solutions for connecting EMS prehospital care providers with emergency medicine in the hospital and beyond: communications, information management, documentation, telemedicine and more. General Devices has the experience and a proven blend of engineering, technology, and exemplary customer support to meet your changing needs.

General Devices, incorporated in 1979, has specialized in the design, development and manufacture of medical devices, concentrating for the last 20 years in the area of voice and data communications, information management and telemedicine systems for Emergency Medical Services and Emergency Departments. The company’s products include the CAREpoint Workstation; Rosetta family of ECG & 12-Lead report transmitters; e-Net Messenger; GD-Net Server, and the pioneering e-Bridge Mobile Telemedicine System .

"I have had the pleasure of working with General Devices for over 10 years now when they first installed our CAREpoints in our new ED. Many years have passed since that move and many more construction projects. But with each move, each question or concern, General Devices have provided exemplary, rapid and professional services to us. From the Vice President to the service staff, I can count on them to assist our hospital with questions or any problems we happen to be having. Our problems have been few, and far between.

The company’s philosophy has always been dedicated to interoperable, open architecture systems with unrestricted access to data. With the increasing need for freely flowing data and patient care information our customers are assured that the investment they have made in General Devices’ systems will meet the information management needs of the future.

"Flagstaff Medical Center has utilized General Devices EMS communications products for over 20 years, purchasing a CAREpoint dual-networked workstation system in 2002 and recently installing the 12 lead EKG telemetry option. FMC ALS Base Hospital covers 20,000 sq. miles of Northern Arizona and receives approximately 15,000 calls per year. The ability to view EKG’s and forward from the same point as communication with the field is occurring will greatly enhance the development of a regional STEMI care system in our service area.
