Various future research and key relevant issues, events & programs were explored and discussed. Next Oversight meeting will be on Monday,August 21st, 2006 Dr. Jason Liu had a follow-on discussion with Prof. William T. Alpert on International Commerce and Terrorism in the context of Globalization. This is a follow up on their discussion after the recent Research Symposium sponsored by Center for Globalization and Commerce Dr. Jason Liu had lunch with Ms. Caryn A. McBride, Executive Editor of Fairfield & Westchester County Business Journal at the Soundview Club, Stamford, Connecticut July, 18th, 2006. They discussed a broad range of Technology and Business Issues at the luncheon meeting. Dr. Liu recalled his meeting in 1984 with Mr. David Moore, the former owner of the publications. Dr. Liu held series of recent meetings and discussions on Governance of Non-profit Institutions with new regulations in terms of transparency, disclosure, audit, ethics and conflict of interests, etc. with area experts Recent Events "A 21st Century Symposium on Globalization" was held in the General Re Auditorium at Uconn Stamford Campus on April 10, 2006. The theme of the Symposium is on "Partnership Between Academia and Business" Dr. Jason Liu was on the Panel on Science & Technology with Dr. Leon A. Pintsov, Pitney Bowes, Prof. Richard N. Langlois and Prof. Charles Yarish of Uconn. *The International Trade Council of the Stamford Chamber of Commerce sponsored International Trade Day on Thursday, September 25th 2003 from 8:30 AM to 7:30 PM at the Sheraton Stamford Hotel.
