Kamik is run by locals like you. We have over 600 local workers in Quebec, New Hampshire, and Ontario – some of whom have been with us for over 40 years and feel like part of the family. They’re fully committed to producing quality products and take pride in attaching their names to every pair of boots they make, and we take pride in attaching their names to us.

We love the outdoors. That's why we've been working hard to sustain it for over 20 years. We believe our green initiatives are, and will continue to be, integral to our success, and we hope that by exercising sustainable practices, we will inspire others to do the same. Here are some of the processes we put into place to help drive us forward, while leaving a smaller footprint behind.

Part of our success in sustainability is attributed to what goes into our products. We make our liners and linings from recycled water bottles; our soles are 100% recyclable; and we continue to create innovative materials like Ecologic Rubber . We’re also working to source and develop new material that’s not only better for the environment, but is better for you too.

Being able to design, develop, test, and create our products all on one site is a major advantage when it comes to manufacturing. And when it comes to actually distributing our boots, it’s pretty convenient too. By doing the majority of our manufacturing in North America we’re able to get our products to retailers quickly and efficiently, so you don't have to wait to get outside and start exploring.

Genfoot acquires Hamburg Felt Company Ltd., in Ontario, a facility that manufactures felt liners for boots, designed to be warmer than what was available at the time. This liner became the foundation for Kamik’s Zylex® Liners.
