They are an excellent deterrent because they cannot be photocopied or scanned. They are printed in a transparent ink which is clear, but visible when viewed at an angle. Unlike true watermarks, which are visible from both sides of the paper, artificial watermarks are visible from one side only. Artificial watermarks can be printed on the face or the back of a document. You can use Genoa's stock artificial watermark which contains the words "Secure Document" or we can create your own custom design using your customer's logo.
