On November 1, 2012, Westat acquired GeoStats Services. Westat is an employee-owned professional services company headquartered in Rockville, Maryland. Since 1963, Westat has performed many national and international statistical research projects in health, education, energy, transportation, human services, and other fields. This acquisition brings together our combined skills and experience in providing research services to Federal, state, and local governments and non-government clients.

Transportation planning models continue to evolve and are becoming increasingly data intensive. Beyond our core experience in market research technology, GeoStats also has the expertise to support model development efforts such as network coding, TAZ editing, data collection, and socio-economic data integration. GeoStats has experience in conductive innovative post-model analyses (including congestion ranking, emissions analysis, select-link, etc.).

GeoStats has a strong history of providing innovative services to clients involved in a wide range of transportation planning projects.

Staying abreast of the latest trends in geospatial information technology, GeoStats Services also continues to develop or enhance software and hardware tools that are used for client studies or sold directly to customers.
