We do not charge you based upon the value of your property. There would be an incentive to say the property was worth more to enhance the fee. We do not sell directly to the public. We often appraise personal property to help our clients determine whether or not to buy something. Sometimes we have the not-so-pleasant task of telling someone that what they are about to buy or have already bought is not the quality, or worth the money, that they have been told. If we also sold similar property it would create a conflict of interest, which we prefer to avoid. We take your personal property appraisal needs seriously. A proper appraisal takes time to complete. We begin with an examination of the property. Then we research and document the value.
