We work hard to make the experience at one of our hospitals as comfortable and convenient as possible...both for our patients and for their family members.Georgetown Memorial Hospital is a 131-bed, acute-care facility. We offer state-of-the-art equipment and provide a full range of inpatient and outpatient services. Support groups, community outreach and educational programs and special events such as health fairs and weekly screening opportunities support a demonstrated commitment to our community’s health. Most recently in March 2006, plans were announced to relocate the current hospital to another location in Georgetown that has not been determined yet.Waccamaw Community Hospital, which opened in November, 2002, has 82 inpatient beds as well as 29 beds in an acute physical rehabilitation center. Like GMH, Waccamaw Community Hospital offers outpatient services, community programs and special events. Both facilities have 24-hour emergency departments.
