Discover Sharp Mountain Vineyard Winery, Tasting Room & Gift Shop. In Jasper, Georgia lies the first vineyard in this Region. The vineyard was established in March 1995 on the 26 acre estate with a breathtaking view of Sharp Mountain herself. Ron Rathgeb began his labor of love planting: Pinot Noir, Gewurztraminer, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, and Viognier vines. Since 2000, there have been additional plantings of Pinot Gris, Primitivo, Sauvignon Blanc, Sangiovese and Trebbiano.
