GeriMed has been working with the manufacturers to allow retail pharmacies with long term care business access to brand manufacturer contracts. If the retail pharmacy is willing to separate its' inventory and set up a separate account number for all long term care purchases, then several manufacturers will allow access to long term care agreements. Currently, combo pharmacies have access to all GeriMed generic contracts, along with several financially impactful branded manufacturers.

GeriMed offers more than health plan network contract services. Today's LTC pharmacy needs a network that provides assistance with third party claims, timely industry news, reports that audit accurate rate payment and an 835 data warehouse. With over 42 years of combined experience, GeriMed's staff will support pharmacy personnel in managing the administrative functions of the pharmacy.

GeriMed is dedicated to providing our pharmacy members with timely and relevant information which results in operational and financial success. The Weekly Dose is used to communicate Medicare Part D plan information, CMS requirements and news, Contract Rates & Obligations and LTC industry information. Every Friday, the Weekly Dose is emailed to pharmacy owners, billing staff, pharmacy operations managers and pharmacists. As a member of the GeriMed LTC Network, pharmacies will automatically receive the Weekly Dose.

Collecting and analyzing data for members and manufacturers is an important service that GeriMed provides. Our members want to know how they are progressing on market share agreements, so in addition to collecting wholesaler information with our sophisticated data system, GeriMed now collects monthly dispensing data from each pharmacy member. This data can be provided to manufacturers and members down to the National Drug Code (NDC) number level.
