GetReadyGear was founded by experienced search and rescue personnel that regularly field test survival gear and understand what it takes to survive on your own. As qualified ground and mounted searchers with local Sheriff Departments, our survival, first aid, nutrition and safety training provides us with a unique perspective on what is important in a 72 hour survival kit. Additionally, we are members of our Regional Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), certified CERT trainers, and certified Neighborhood Emergency Training (NET) trainers by the Region IX Homeland Security Office, who routinely train citizens in emergency preparedness. We have seen first hand the devastation that both man-made and natural disasters can have on a community, city or state.
