Gigafone is a completely new and innovative approach to producing and marketing original music. The plan draws on breakthrough technology in mastering and distribution and packaging to present music by artists that represent the volcanic new roots music revolution. The Gigafone record label is centered around a periodical audio journal called "The Record" which will be presented in part online and as a quarterly CD compilation available by subcription. The Record will feature an array of new music, recorded live from a variety of sources, including live concert recordings, private studios, and offerings from other independent labels. In this way, The Record becomes a vehicle for Gigafone to act as a distribution and marketing service for a vast network of roots music promoters, vendors, and artists.
