Gil Laden is a solo practitioner in Mobile, Alabama, where his law practice is devoted to Social Security disability work. He received a B.A. in Chemistry from Emory University in 1972, and his J.D. from Mercer University in 1977. In 1977, he was also admitted to the Georgia bar. Gil was a staff attorney with Georgia Legal Services, serving indigent clients, from 1977 to 1979. It was there that he first recognized the need for adequate representation of clients in their claims for Social Security disability benefits. Gil was admitted to the Alabama bar in 1980 and began his private practice at that time.
