For 32 years, Glenns Ferry Health Center, Inc. (GFHC) has delivered quality care for communities in Elmore and Owyhee Counties. GFHC was incorporated in 1982 and has grown its primary and behavioral health care services adding dental services in 2004 to meet the needs of the communities. GFHC is a non-profit private corporation, governed by a Board of Directors who volunteer their time and effort to make quality health care available to all.

* Dental Hygeinist Darlene Steele, RDH has been the Hygienist for Desert Sage Health Center since it opened eight years ago. With over nineteen years of experience in the hygiene field Darlene provides her patients with care, respect, and education fulfilling their dental needs within her scope of practice.

Glenns Ferry Health Center is home to the corporation in Glenns Ferry, Idaho. Operations began in 1982, bringing health care services where none existed. The health center is equipped with state-of-the-art digital X-ray and Heliport pad for Life Flight.

* Certified Dawn Best, FNP joined the GFHC staff in July 2009. She cares for all primary care patients, but particularly enjoys pediatrics and women’s health. Dawn has a Bachelor degree in Biology and Nursing as well as a Master’s Degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner, certified in ACLS and PALS. Dawn has 15 years of experience in the health care industry working in a variety of settings including; Neuro, ICU, occupational health, and home health. She holds specialty certifications in Case Management and Occupational Health. Dawn participates in the GFHC Diabetes Cardiovascular Collaborative and is a Board Member of the Northwest Regional Primary Care Association. She volunteers as a EMT, firefighter and teaches CPR. Dawn enjoys golfing, outdoor activities, riding her Harley, and spending time with friends and family.
